SOUND SYSTEM WASHING MACHINE

Pictures of the first prototypes in a school of art in Feb 2009, in Aix en Provence, France. One prototype working with sound, boomer loudspeakers to agitate water through the vibration of the container , not low tech, and expensive. But it was fun to write “music for clothes” with the open source software Pure Data

ROTATING BAMBOO PHOTOVOLTAIC SOLAR WASHING MACHINE

This prototype use bicycle part, as the tire and the wheel, plus bamboo, and a solar panel directly connected to a recycled electric motor ( from a photocopier). A mechanical system could reverse the sense of rotation automatically after few turns (or the clothes will turn into a dirty ball)

THE WINDMILL WASHING MACHINE

Here you can see the video of the windmill washing machine, made during a workshop in Belgium, in Ghent, with the support of Vooruit Art Center and the organization of http://www.timelab.org, the fablab of Ghent.
