How can you help ?

Jean-Noël

This project needs a lot of people to join their energy on different subjects:

-the technological aspects: inventing, designing, drawing, building, testing technologies: some retired people could help, instead of watching TV…
-history, ethnology, sociology and discovery: exploring the context of clothes washing around the world : good websurfers or library hunters wanted,
-scientific researchers (retired or not), in water treatment, in biology, in mecanics or electronic engeneering
-web drivers…, even web newbies, to animate this website, increase the number and quality of contents, and answer to any response on the blog, publish some pictures harvested on the web.
-communication about the project, researches: people who like to send email and having contacts around the world.

We are very happy if this project is a gathering of many different skills and works, even very small or for a short period. Million (billion) people (women) could have a better life ( for education, for children, for personal developement, for…………) if they could have more time and less pain.

Always remember how revolutionary was the arrival of washing machines in western countries few years ago. Ask your grandmother. Cheers.

Jean-Noël

A workshop on the concept of open source washing machine will be given for students in january or february 2009, in the school of fine arts of Aix en Provence in France. During the one week workshop, we will build 3 different prototypes, some with a strong emphasis on the artistic aspect, some with attention to the DIY process.
